By daylight, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste are ordinary teenagers. A third season is also in development. On 22 January 2018, Zag posted on Instagram that the crew was working on a fourth and fifth season. On 31 August premiered a new series with Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug Cat Noir which this time is in chibi style.
